The famous streaming platform, Netflix now has a new superhero on its way and an all-star creative group bringing this to life. Netflix has ordered a feature movie Past Midnight to production. While the plot details are still a secret, Past Midnight has been described as a new vigilante superhero story.
Rick Famuyiwa is set to helm this movie with a script which will be written by TJ Fixman. Joe and Anthony Russo will be producing this movie. John Wick and Keanu Reeves are now in talks to play the lead role for this movie.
Netflix has got the rights to Fixman’s script in a contest with other studios. The writer is a star in Hollywood and has sold projects to Disney and Universal.
Famuyiwa made footprints in the Hollywood sand by directing the 2015 hit, Dope. The filmmaker had even signed on to direct and write Black Hole for Plan B and New Regency.
The Russo Brothers took over the superhero industry with their work at Marvel. By 2019, they would have directed four movies for this studio: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and an untitled Avengers 4.
