Vin Diesel Is Going To Play Bloodshot In Sony’s New Mega Budget Comic Book Franchise – More Details Inside

The star of Fast and the Furious, Vin Diesel has now signed on for the lead role in Bloodshot. Vin Diesel had been the first person to be attached to this movie, and he said that he was in in talks for this particular role. These talks have now come to a close and Diesel will star in this movie with Dave Wilson as the director.

A report from Deadline has revealed that this movie will be in the vein of ’80s movies like Terminator, Total Recall, and Robocop. The studio now seems to be moving ahead, and the production will start by July. Bloodshot is set to be produced by Neal H. Moritz, Dinesh Shamdasani, and Toby Jaffe. Dan Mintz and Matthew Vaughn will be the executive producers.

Before Diesel’s casting, Sony had been eyeing Jared Leto for this role, and it is not known why the talks with him fell apart. This movie is now on track with Diesel who will take up the role of Angelo Mortalli (Bloodshot).

The character was created by Bob Layton, Kevin Van Hook, and Don Perlin and made his debut in Eternal Warrior #4. Due to the nanites in his body, Bloodshot can heal fast an can also shapeshift. Although his mind has been wiped many times, Bloodshot has an aptitude for hand-to-hand combat and is very well-versed in weapons training.

Bloodshot will also appear in a live-action movie with Jason David Frank playing this role in Ninjak Vs. Valiant Universe.

Being a product of Bat in the Sun and Valiant Digital, this series will debut in 2018 and will be featuring many characters from Valiant Comics.
