Avengers: Infinity War trailer debuted a few months ago, and it is sending fans into spirals, from mourning deaths to screaming over Thanos. A few theories also claim that Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, will die in Avengers: Infinity War.
This may be absurd because Tom Holland is starring in the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel in 2019 and this will be after Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4. It will be hard to have another Spider-Man film if Spidey was dead. Some can say that Miles Morales may be Spider-Man, but it is too soon. But he may die and may be brought back to life.
The theory is prevalent on Tumblr where the users have noted chilling moments in the Infinity War trailer. We saw Thanos knock Spider-Man into the ground with his hand. And Tony Stark is out of his suit and he is seen holding a hand which at first looks like his own.
Another reason why the theory may be true is that the last moments where a few members of the MCU are filmed. Many of the OG Avengers’ contracts are running out. It will be anticlimactic for the beloved heroes to die in the first round of fighting Thanos.
They will need to have the emotional poignancy of loss without it actually being permanent. An easy way to pull the fans’ heartstrings is to raise the stakes. How can Marvel recover from killing a child?
Assuming that the Infinity Stones are collected toward the end of this movie, fans are now theorizing that Tony Stark will pick up the Infinity Stone gauntlet and use it to save Peter. Stark has wielded the gauntlet in the comic books.
There is no reason to worry as the Spider-Man sequel announcement is enough proof.
