Jason Todd Might Be A Part Of ‘Titans’ TV Series

DC’s live-action Titans is in the works, and it is the roster for the series’ that continues amazing us.

In the recent weeks, Geoff Johns and the DC team have made a number of casting announcements pertaining to the Titans, including almost everyone from the Doom Patrol apart from the glittering Titans team lineup. Now, taking this further, it seems that another popular DC character is going to be a part of the series.

Rumors claim that Jason Todd, one of the Robins, will be a part of the series.

TitansTV.net has reported quoting unconfirmed sources that the episode 7 of the 13 episode Titans will be named “Jason Todd,” referring to the character’s involvement. Although DC and WB haven’t responded to the news, the title of the episode seems to be in sync with the various other confirmed and rumored titles. Johns had also stated that episode 6 had been titled “Doom Patrol” before he went on to confirm the team’s arrival on Titans.

If you don’t know him, Jason Todd was the second guy to take on Robin’s mantle after Dick Grayson. He was sadly bumped off in the comics in 1988. He later came back from the dead as the evil Red Hood.

There are only two options available to Titans regarding Jason Todd’s addition. Since Dick Grayson is interested in setting up his own team, Jason might be played by a young actor, who would depict Robin being trained by Batman, and ultimately resulting in his death. The other option is to start the series after Jason’s death, facilitating his return as Red Hood as a part of the series’ narrative.

Brenton Thwaites stars in Titans as Dick Grayson, alongside Ann Diop as Starfire, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Teagan Croft as Raven, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, and Minka Kelly as Dove. Dwain Murphy, Bruno Bichir, April Bowlby, and Jake Michaels are the recent additions to the cast as Doom Patrol members.

Titans will be aired on DC’s upcoming streaming platform, but, there is no release date announced yet.
