Final Box Office Numbers Of Justice League Is Bad News For DC Cinematic Universe, Here’s What Could Happen

Last year, DC’s Justice League had hit theatres and did not perform as well as expected. The movie has now officially ended the theatrical run and has become the lowest-grossing movie within the DCEU. Justice League had marked the very first time that the DC superheroes had united on the silver screen.

After many misfires, the negative reviews for Justice League and the BTS problems, this led to the movie to fail miserably.

This was evident when it released last November to a small amount of $93.8 million, and this movie is now the lowest grossing DCEU movie with $657.9 million worldwide.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the top-grossing DCEU movie and earned $873.6 million worldwide. This then trailed behind Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman ($821.8 million). Suicide Squad comes in 3rd with $746.8 million.

Warner Bros. had initially sought to split Justice League into two movies under Zack Snyder, and it is now unknown if a sequel will even take place as of now and we all know that Warner Bros. has gone through a huge and massive shakeup over the past few years.

Justice League is now available on digital HD, Blu-ray, and DVD and stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Ciarán Hinds, Jesse Eisenberg and J.K. Simmons.
