DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Might Feature Constantine As A Regular Character

While the approval of the next season is quite likely, but, it hasn’t yet been formally announced. However, fans don’t need to lose heart about that. The CW is right now not ready to make official announcements for any of its shows, not even the near certainties like The Flash and Riverdale. The network is coming up with a range of new projects in the upcoming season. Therefore, the plan might be to wait till all those pilots are evaluated and then to make announcements regarding the programming calls.

Ryan guest stars on the latest Legends of Tomorrow episode, titled “Necromancing the Stone,” and would be back in three weeks time to be a part of the season finale. Ryan first played John Constantine in the brief NBC series Constantine, will be the star of an animated Constantine series scheduled to air on CW Seed starting coming Saturday.

Constantine’s first appearance on The CW’s DC shows of the shared universe called Arrowverse was during an episode of Arrow. Back then, Legends of Tomorrow hadn’t yet debuted, and it has been a while since Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) died. After she was revived by her sister Laurel (Katie Cassidy) by using a Lazarus Pit, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), sought John Constantine’s help to reunite her with her soul.

Constantine then helped rescue Sara, who later joined the Legends and now is the captain of the Waverider. During his last appearance, Constantine teamed up with Sara to rescue a young girl taken over by a demon who turned out to be none other than Mallus, the mega-villain of the current season. The girl in question was a teenaged Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford). As events unfolded, Sara formed a bond with the villain, and that’s an angle which will be exploited in the latest episode.

A section of loyal fans pithed for Constantine’s come back for quite a while after its cancellation on NBC. Before Ryan landed on Arrow, negotiations took place to relocate the show to The CW, but, things didn’t work out. Eventually, he became a part of the “Arrowverse,” and the majority of the loyal Constantine supporters believed that the best option for him was to join the Legends of Tomorrow, a show that suited him best as it had a lot of unsuitable superheroes and antiheroes.

We expect further details about Ryan’s character, and the official announcement regarding season 4, soon.

You can watch DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
