Born as Julie Ege on 12 November 1943 (died on 29 April 2008), she was a Norwegian actress and model, who had featured in a number of British films during the 1960s and 1970s. Ege was born in Sandnes to a brickyard worker Marton Ege and his wife Hiordis Halvorsen. She was 15 when she started working as a model. In the year 1962, she reached the second place in Miss Norway pageant when she was 18 and she went on to participate in Miss Universe. However, her voice was dubbted by some other actress. On Saturday, August 22, 1971, Ege presented Ivan Mauger with the European Speedway title trophy at Wembley before a crowd of almost 75,000.
