15 Awesome Redesigns Of Superhero Film Posters

New York artist Peter Stultsasks recently came out with a unique art print series called “What If,” where he turns latest superhero movies into classic retro posters from a different era. Not only that, he uses actors and actresses from those particular eras onto the movie posters giving it a unique perspective.

The idea behind this series is to give viewers an idea what it would be like if a recent superhero movie that we know today came out in a completely different era like the 50’s.

With gorgeous detailed designs, here are 15 of Stult’s best comic book movie poster redesigns.

15. BATMAN V SUPERMAN

This poster is redesigned to look like it released in the ‘40s and features actors from that era such as Robert Lowery as Batman and Kirk Alyn as Superman. The poster even mentions other cast members of those films, like Noell Neill as Lois Lane and Lyle Talbot as Jim Gordon.

14. CAPTAIN AMERICA

This poster features Sam J. Jones as Captain America and Michael Biehn taking on the role of Bucky. Also, the poster has great sensibility and style that compliments the classic films of an era.

13. CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

This poster is set in an era that looks like the mid-to-early ‘90s. Here Sam J. Jones has recast again as Captain America and Tom Berenger as Iron Man. Also, recast is Michelle Pfeiffer as Black widow.

12. A DAME TO KILL FOR

This poster is based on the Sin City movie and is set in the late ‘50s or early ‘60s, with stars like Kirk Douglas and Lauren Bacall who were famous in that era.

8. LOGAN

The poster for Logan makes it look like it was released in the mid-to-late ‘70s with director Jack Smight and starring film legend Robert Mitchum. This hypothetical version of Logan looks to be a beast by itself and draws inspiration from westerns with its simple colors and vast landscape of the film poster.

This reinterpretation looks interesting thanks to some great recasting decisions.
