Tommy Wiseau’s Joker Audition Tape Is The Stuff Of Nightmares

Tommy Wiseau is an actor and moviemaker famous for his 2003 work The Room, and he had last month stated his desire to play The Joker, around the same time that we heard rumors about Joaquin Phoenix being contemplated to play the same role in a WB Joker origin film. It led to a great deal of internet jokes, but, it is Wiseau who had the last laugh courtesy a new “audition tape.

In his bid to promote the Blu-ray and DVD release of The Disaster Artist, a comedy-drama documenting the making of The Room, Wiseau put on Heath-Ledger style Joker makeup and clothes to create his own version of The Joker for The Nerdist. He portrayed the “Why So Serious” sequence of Heath Ledger from the Christopher Nolan movie The Dark Knight, talked about waltzing with the devil and enjoying it, and also went on to improvise the Jack Nicholson version of Joker from Tim Burton’s Batman and is seen singing “Jingle Bells, Batman Smells.”

Wiseau’sgravely voice and his weird behavioral patterns create a monster of Hate which might be worthy of a shot at the proposed Joker origin movie.

The Todd Phillips directed Joker origin film has not yet been given a release date or a confirmed cast yet, but, it has been reported that Phoenix is the most preferred actor to play the lead role. While Jared Leto is the Joker in the DCEU, this film is going to be made under a banner separate from DCEU.
