Rick & Morty’s Creator’s Latest Tweet Is A Bad News For Fans, Questions Future Of The Show.

Rick & Morty is being called as the Simpsons of the Millenials, it is one of the shows that keeps breaking every god damn rule out there of making a successful comedy-adventure show, and it is still one of the most loved animated TV shows from past couple of years. The ratings have been roof shattering, and we all thought that we are going to get at least 25 seasons of it, but then we get this tweet from the Creator of Rick & Morty, Dan Harmon,  which is in response to an agitated fan.

A fan pointed out on Twitter that Dan’s team and Adult Swim should focus on bringing us the next season instead of doing “useless” shorts of Rick and Morty appearing in the rap song by Run The Jewels. This response was not taken well by Dan and responded in a very sarcastic manner like this:-

“I hear ya, tough spot; On one hand, it can be challenging, especially with crippling lazy alcoholism, to write a show that hasn’t been ordered by a network. On the other hand, the thought that fans like you pay the price…I mean…I’m gonna grab a drink.”

This tweet from Harmon sent the massive fanbase of Rick and Morty into instant shock because how the hell, Adult Swin hasn’t ordered such a successful show is beyond anyone’s comprehension. In fact, Rick and Morty should be on the top of their priority tree at this moment.

Fans were worried about the show when the release gap between Season 2 and Season 3 was extended, but after the great reception of the last season, we all thought that the next season is just around the corner. It looks like we were wrong, assuming that Dan hasn’t even started writing the show, one can approximate that it can take the next season to 2019 or also 2020 release timeframes.

There are also frustrations, and sharp difference in opinions at the top levels regarding the delays as the series writer Ryan Ridley had shared his agony in the past like this:-

“They really take their time,” Ridley told Detroit Cast. “I never understood why everybody — all parties, Dan [Harmon], Justin [Roiland], and Adult Swim — didn’t get their shit together, and make the show fast; I just don’t get it. It doesn’t make any sense to me. I’m sure they all have their reasons.”

Let us know in the comment section what do you guys feel about the tweet from Dan Harmon, is he joking or Adult Swim is planning to dump the show?
