Latest Avengers: Infinity War Poster Generates A Theory On Iron Man’s Death, Here’s The Detail

Promotions are on full throttle for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and Marvel is using every trick in the book to build excitement for the next Avengers saga. Towards that purpose, we stumbled upon this tweet from the Twitter account of the Russo brothers’ which had speculated about the release of the second Avengers: Infinity War trailer.

It was even more pronounced by the fact that the last trailer for Avengers: Infinity War also came along with a poster depicting almost every character involved with the film. Frankly, it is a problem with a film of this scale to give each character adequate visibility. However, we feel that the poster shared by Marvel was an attempt to highlight Iron-Man as being second only to Thanos.

The poster is basically an assortment of heroes and Iron-Man is right at the center of it. While a section of fans believe this is a display of the Robert Downey Jr’s famous ‘I am Iron-Man’ moment which launched the MCU, others believe that the placement of Iron-Man on the poster and his body language is an indication of his sacrifice, just the way Jesus did.

So, here we have the entire evidence available and the speculative theories too. However, is there any merit in this theory? That’s what we are trying to figure out. We can see in the trailer that the Iron-Man was in discussion with others and the Guardians of the Galaxy to work out a plan to beat Thanos. Still, no matter what Iron-Mantried, it is clear that Thanos managed to reach Wakanda in his bid to capture the Infinity Stones.

While we see the Mad Titan grab only three of the total six Infinity Stones, it might be possible that the other three, i.e., Aether (Reality Stone), Vision’s headstone (Mind Stone), and the Soul Stone are all at Wakanda and that’s where the final battle will take place.

We also need to understand how Thanos reached Wakanda and where did he find the Space and the Power Stones which he has now. The way we see it, Thanos is likely to first attack Xandar and grab the Power Stone from Xandar’s vault. That’s where the Guardians and the Asgardians will enter the scene. That’s also where Iron-Man and Nova Corps will try to protect the first Infinity Stone (Power Stone). The realization that Thanos is so swiftly moving to grab the Infinity Stones indicates the kind of threat he possesses.

By the looks of it, after Gamora warned him, Iron-Man came to the conclusion that it will be better to take on Thanos on Xandar alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor. A few heavy duty players and a warrior clan (Asgardians) might be the ideal team to beat Thanos. However, Iron-Man is wrong. As seen in the trailer, his Iron-Man suit burns down, and even mighty forces like the God of Thunder are ineffective against Thanos.

This was apparently visible in the trailer and highlighted the burning of the bleeding edge armor and breakdown of Thor and other heroes. Considering everything, we feel that it all points to Iron-Man’s sacrifice.
