Born as Olga Kostiantinivna Kurylenko on 14 November, 1979 in Berdiansk, Ukraine (part of the Soviet Union at the time), she is a French actress and model. Her father Konstantin, is Ukrainian and her mother Marina Alyabysheva, who is a teacher of art and is an artist with exhibitions to her name, was born in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia and has Russian and Belarusian origins.

Kurylenko’s parents divorced when she was three years old and she was raised by her single mother. She rarely contacted her father. After her parents separated, she met him for the first time when she was eight years of age and again at the age of fifteen.

She was 13-years-old when she was discovered as a model in Moscow. She relocated to Paris to pursue a career in modelling when she was 16 years of age and she started her acting career in the year 2005. She has been successful as an actress for her portrayal of Nika Boronina in the film version of the video game Hitmen (2007), and later she became famous when she was cast as Bond girl Camille Montes in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace (2008). In recent years, she was seen in Momentum (2015), To The Wonder (2012), with Tom Cruise in Oblivion (2013), with Russell Crowe in The Water Diviner (2014) and alongside Rowan Atkinson in the spy comedy movie Johnny English Strikes Again (2018).

Kurylenko became a French citizen in the year 2001. She married French fashion photographer Cedric van Mol in 2000, but, they divorced after four years. She married American mobile phone accessory businessman Damian Gabrielle in 2006, but, their brief marriage ended in a divorce in late 2007. Kurylenko then moved to London in 2009.

Kurylenko has a son named Alexander Max Horatio (born on 3 October, 2015) with her former partner Max Benitz.

As of 2018, Kurylenko resided in London with her son and boyfriend, actor Ben Cura.
