She had a series of failed relationships in her personal life.

She had married baseball great Joe DiMaggio, but, it lasted only nine months. Later she got married to playwright Arthur Miller from 1956 to 1961. Marilyn Monroe was found dead at her Los Angeles home on August 5, 1962 with an empty bottle of sleeping pills lying by her bedside.
