Daisy Fuentes is a Cuban-American model, comedian, and television host. She became the first Latina VJ of MTV and is also the first Latina spokesperson of Revlon, signed to a worldwide contract. Daisy was born on 17 November 1996 in Cuba. Her father is Cuban, and her mother is Spanish. When Daisy was three years old, her family moved to Madrid. Later they moved to Harrison, New Jersey. Daisy studied at Harrison High School, and she got completed her graduation in the year 1984. She started doing modeling during high school. She always dreamt of opening her salon. Daisy was hired as an anchor by a local Spanish-language TV network, Telemundo for a weather forecast. At New York’s Univision affiliate WXTV-TV 41 she was reporting the evening news. In 1998 Daisy was hosting for MTV Internacional, a Spanish language music show. It made her a famous face of the Spanish-language TV market in the U.S. and Latin America.
Daisy also hosted fashion and modeling series, House of Style while working for MTV. Daisy appeared on shows like ABC soap opera Loving, Dream On, The Larry Sanders Show, and Cybill. From 1994 to 1995 she hosted a talk show, Daisy, on CNBC. She worked as a co-host with John Fugelsang for the show America’s America’s Funniest Home Videos. Some other shows she hosted are ALMA Award, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, 1998 World Music Awards,1999 Billboard Latin Awards, Miss Teen USA, Miss USA, and Miss Universe pageants.
Daisy has also been a co-presenter of La Voz Kids on Telemundo, the Spanish version of the show The Voice. She offered relationship advice on the Matty’s Dating Advice Corner. Daisy got married to actor and model Timothy Adams in the year 1991. They got divorced in 1995. Later she dated Luis Miguel and broke up with him in 1998. In 2003 she got engaged with Matt Goss. In 2015 she married singer, songwriter, producer Richard Marx.
