Born as Caroline Michelle “Carrie” Prejean Boller on May 13, 1987, she is an American model, former Miss California USA 2009 and Miss USA 2009, first runner-up. Later her Miss California USA crown was stripped for allegations of breaches of contract. There was a litigation between Prejean and the Miss California organization that was settled in November 2009. In late November 2009, Prejean released a book elaborating her take of the story.

Prejean was born in San Diego, California to Francine Coppola and Wilbert Prejean. Her mother is an Italian American and her father French roots. She grew up in an evangelical Christian family in Vista, California. In the year 1996, her parents separated and later their divorce proceedings started. As per her autobiography, Prejean described the divorce as “a trauma that irrevocably shaped the rest of my life.”. The divorce was a nasty process and both the parties accused the other of bad behaviour and homesexuality and the custody proceedings went on for a full decade, by when Prejean and her sister had already attained adulthood. Prejean mentioned in her autobiography that her parents “were being selfish” when they split the family and she added that the divorce “put distance between me and my parents.” She went on to explain that the divorce also financially wrecked the family, ruined her childhood, and encouraged her to ensure a stable home for her own children.

Prejean finished her graduation from Vista High School in 2005. She then studied at San Diego Christian College, an evangelical private school in El Cajon, California, and she also attends the Rock Church, where she does volunteer work with their outreach ministries. Prejean also does volunteer work with Luv-em-up Ministries in El Cajon, where she works with children with development related disabilities. She is studying to become a special education teacher.

Prjean has done modelling work for Target, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. She has also been seen in Bliss magazine, as a model for E! Entertainment Television and in an interactive model search competition organized for the NBC game show Deal or No Deal. On July 2, 2010, Prejean married the former NFL quarterback Kyle Boller in San Diego, California. On November 11, 2010, they announced that they were expecting their first child. Their first child, a girl named Grace Christina was born on May 11, 2011. They next had a son named Brody in 2013.
