Shuri is the younger sister of T’Challa and most newly, a queen. As such, she has been the ruler of Wakanda, an African nation recognized to be one of the most technologically advanced civilizations on Earth.

Upon her father’s death, her uncle, came to be Black Panther because she, nor T’Challa, was of age to do so. As the years gained, she pledged to become Panther and attempted to enter into the once-a-year Wakandan ritual that allowed anyone of the royal bloodline to become Panther by overthrowing the ruling Black Panther in hand to hand battle.
