Cops don’t have the same friendly, fuzzy feeling you get from firefighters. After all, if you find yourself speaking to a police officer, chances are you either did something wrong or you are in some sort of danger or trouble. Still, these brave men and women step into their uniforms to ensure their communities are safe and trouble-free.
There are plenty of good cops out there going above and beyond the call of duty like the officer who took it upon herself to nurse an abandoned baby or another who used his cop car to give a family in need a lift. There is a cop in Long Island, New York, who is winning residents’ hearts, not by her good deeds necessarily but rather for her good looks.
Samantha Sepulveda is not your typical police officer.
When she is not arresting bad guys, handing out speeding tickets, and helping old folks cross the street, she works as a lingerie model.
The 32-year-old joined the force in 2010.
Three years later a friend who worked in a lingerie and swimsuit company invited her to model in their runway fashion show.
Sepulveda is not your typical model either.
She is petite, standing at only 5-foot-2.
Her height and beauty may appear to work to her disadvantage.
But the woman who was born in the Dominican Republic says despite being trained to physically take down men bigger than her, she doesn’t need to use her force.
“I talk men into handcuffs all the time because they don’t want to fight me,” Sepulveda told the New York Post.
She admits that a female cop usually helps to lower men’s urge to brawl with an officer
“With a female officer, their guard is lowered. There’s less aggression and the situation is defused,” she explains.
That doesn’t take away the fact that some men are [email protected] and at times don’t take her seriously taunting her with “you can arrest me anytime.”
Despite her [email protected] pictorials, Sepulveda swears this look is not part of her work uniform
She says she doesn’t wear any makeup, puts her hair up in a bun, and admits her uniform hides her curves.
Although she has drawers full of lingerie, Sepulveda says she doesn’t use it that much.
“I like to just sleep in an oversize T-shirt and be comfortable,” she admits.
“I try to look as masculine as possible,” she reveals.
She’s also had close encounters with assailants.
She recalls being in a patrolling car 35 miles east of Manhattan when they got a call about a man who had just beaten up his wife.
The man threatened to kill the police officers but once he got a good look at Sepulveda he allegedly raved “Holy s–t! You’re the best-looking cop I’ve ever seen! Can I take you on a date?”
