The Hulk vs Godzilla: A Monstrous Battle

It is not your usual superhero match up. This a battle which is going to be appealing and extremely destructive. These are two masters of large-scale destruction and tremendous collateral damage. A fight between these two has the capability of flattening a whole city in no time and causing inexplicable harm to the citizens who get trapped. For the greater good, such a battle would best be on a deserted island where nobody or nothing else could be harmed by them. To see it on the big screen is quite difficult as Godzilla is going to battle Kong in a couple of years, and this will also require the studios owning the characters to collaborate. However, there is no stopping us from imagining this incredible and catastrophic battle and to find out who will win this ultimate battle.

The Incredible Hulk

Hulk is an uncontrollable wrecker. In fact, he himself doesn’t’ have any self-control. Once he goes into the ‘smash’ mode, nothing stands in his way. If we trust Tony Stark, then Hulk is definitely the strongest Avenger, and nobody wishes to face the angry green monster. Bruce Banner is a genius scientist, and he became the Hulk when he was mistakenly hit by Gamma rays courtesy an experimental bomb explosion during the efforts to recreate the Super Soldier Serum which had converted Steve Rogers into Captain America. Instead of the Super Soldier, the angry green giant came into being.

Once Banner becomes Hulk, he not only becomes incredibly powerful but, loses all control of his actions after suffering emotional stress, willingly or unwillingly. This leads to devastating results and actions which create issues for Banner’s normal life. His strength is generally related to the anger he experiences at any time. If the Hulk is attacked, he only becomes angrier and mightier. Therefore, such a thing is ill-advised. He has superhuman strength and endurance. Despite his bulky frame, he can outrun every other living being and can jump as high as a building.

Godzilla: The King of Monsters

Godzilla was earlier a Dinosaur called Godzillasaurus, who somehow managed to survive the extinction event which wiped out all other Dinos and later he lived on Lagos Island. He has been around for so long that he can be considered to be an immortal. Earth has seen a number of monsters and Godzilla has prevailed over them all to become the nasty King of Monsters. In his early days, he was nearly 164 feet tall, and he kept growing up. The latest Godzilla appearance pegged him to be close to 492 feet high, which is just about as tall as a 45-storey building.

Godzilla has mind-blowing abilities of astonishing strength, and he can simply knock a building to the ground. He unleashes the iconic “Atomic Ray” attack which is a blaze that he breathes down on to anything. Another of his notorious powers is to create a nuclear energy field using his body which is called a nuclear pulse. It can spread over an area of several miles if he unleashes it. His body is capable of generating as well as absorbing radiation which only enhances his energy and makes him greatly powerful. He can live underwater and is quite a fast underwater mover. Therefore, he can simply kill anybody by drowning him/her.

Hulk vs. Godzilla

Hulk has defeated extremely powerful rivals in the comic books and the films, but, it is another thing to battle someone like King of Monsters, Godzilla. In The Avengers, Hulk had pulled down the Leviathan by using sheer muscle power, and he had knocked down another one with one mighty smash! Therefore, the size difference is not a problem here. Also, he is extremely quick, and this will be a benefit for him in the battle against a gigantic slow-moving monster. His barrage of blows can definitely knock Godzilla out.

The biggest problem that Hulk will have to encounter is the Atomic Ray and the nuclear pulse. If Godzilla managed to hit the Hulk with his atomic ray, even momentarily, it would still be deadly for the alter ego of Bruce Banner. The radiation that Godzilla has absorbed will heal him and will hurl great blows and Nuclear Pulse towards the Hulk. He might even grab the green guy and beat him around. And in case he takes the fight below the water’s surface then he will be in a highly advantageous situation. However, we must remember that every attack would make Hulk more furious and stronger!

Therefore, eventually, Hulk would defeat Godzilla as long as the battle remains on the ground and he manages to dodge the Atomic Ray.  Otherwise, Godzilla might not find Hulk to be either incredible or unbeatable.
