Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Talks About The Start Of X-Men And Fantastic Four Projects

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is already planning beyond Avengers: Infinity War and has a great deal of other important things to deal with before he gets working on the Fox-owned characters which might belong to him in the future.

“It’s all about getting Infinity War finished and out, starting Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Untitled Avengers, the next Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3,” Feige told EW. “These are the ones that are keeping us busy. When and how that deal with Fox finishes and comes together, and we’re told, ‘Hey, now you can start working on it. Now you can start thinking about it,’ is when we’ll actually start thinking about it. I will say just the notion of having what, frankly, most other companies with [intellectual property] have all along, which is access to all of their characters, that would be fun.”

Although the Disney and Fox deal is yet to be legally approved, the two huge studios had agreed to a mega $52.4 billion deal in December last. If the deal goes through, then Disney will once again own the Fantastic Four, and X-Men character rights as well as other franchises such as Alien and Avatar.

In terms of the characters who will keep going, things are bound to change after the team up film which might cause universal destruction. “You start to think differently about how the characters are interacting, what character’s stories are coming to a close, and what character’s stories are only just beginning,” Feige said. “Those stories will continue. I think they’ll continue in surprisingly different and unexpected ways after these two Avengers films.”

A grand ten years of movies built the whole MCU, and Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will showcase the most epic and devastating battle ever. The Avengers and their other superhero friends will be required to try and give it all to stop Thanos from his attempted destruction of the universe.

The movie is directed by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, and Stan Lee are executive producers. The screenplay for Avengers: Infinity War has been done by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
