We did not see a lot of John Cena in the WWE after he lost to Roman Reigns, but there were rumors that we would see him Cena in the DCEU.
John Cena had been rumored to play Captain Marvel in the Shazam movie, and while he was discussing retirement from the WWE universe last year, he name-dropped Batman.
“I eat, breathe and sleep WWE. And I don’t think anybody whether they like me or they don’t; I don’t think anybody can argue that” John Cena had said.
“So, I guess I will be like a weird Batman character. When they shine the light, I’ll come a running.”
John Cena said that he had some other opportunities outside WWE, and he may have been referring to Hollywood. John Cena had been featured in The Wall, and he will star in the upcoming Transformers Bumblebee movie.
Zachary Levi is now set to star in Shazam! and this movie will release on April 5, 2019.
