Iron Man’s Avengers: Infinity War Armor Is A Combination Of Two Most Powerful Suits

Tony Stark’s latest suit in the Avengers: Infinity War trailer, has teased some advanced features. The new Iron Man suit appears to have both shapeshifting and spaceflight capabilities.

In a teaser shown during the Super Bowl, the suit forms across Tony Stark’s body like Black Panther’s suit that Shuri had made for T’Challa.

The suits that were created by Stark in the first Iron Man movie were solid pieces of metal that snapped together at points to give him a range of movement. Now it looks like the material contours his body, allowing for more flexibility.

The latest trailer also shows Iron Man flying up into the atmosphere after an invading Q-Ship, containing Thanos and his allies. The armor forms a larger repulser at the feet to give booster speed to catch up with them.

The armor is rumoured to be based on both the Bleeding Edge and Model Prime suits seen in The Heroic Age run of Marvel Comics by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca, which has advanced shapeshifting capabilities and is used as a Swiss Army knife for all of Iron Man’s suits.

Avengers: Infinity War will release in cinemas on April 27th.
