Famous fan artist BossLogic revealed his new work online, titled: “The Last Shawarma,” which is a Marvel themed reimagining of the renowned “The Last Supper” portrait. We can see the various Avengers: Infinity War cast members having a meal at a Shawarma outlet, referring to the post-credits sequence of The Avengers. Have a look at it below:

The artwork is truly fantastic, featuring a major portion of the various Marvel Cinematic Universe character together at a huge table. In fact, it even gives a hint of some sub-teams which we might be seeing in Infinity War. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is next to a few of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Tony Stark/Iron-Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is at the center of the table, once again drawing parallels to Jesus images as seen in the official Infinity War poster as well. However, this might not be comforting to all those who are concerned about a possible death of Tony Stark).

There are various easter eggs dispersed around the poster, giving fans ample to digest. A revolution-themed poster related to Thor: Ragnarok’s Korg (Taika Waititi), tiny appearances by Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne /Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). There are cameos by Stan Lee and Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). There is a reference even to the absence of Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), who can be seen on one of the TV displays in the background, and an arrow pinning a note to the wall, asking the Avengers to reserve his seat.

It is difficult to say whether the movie will indeed feature a shawarma throwback, but, the poster reveals how the film has a truly grand cast. It has reached a proportion where even the movie’s makers, Joe and Anthony Russo, are not able to convincingly keep track of the number of characters featured in the movie.

“It’s a lot,” Joe Russo stated recently.

“We can’t keep a realistic count,” Anthony Russo added.

We have to sit down at some point and count it,” Joe said.

We will soon see all of those Marvel characters come together, for shawarma or battle, when Avengers: Infinity War hits the theaters on April 27th.
