A New Darth Vader Movie Is In Development But With An Interesting Twist

There is a strong case to say that Star Wars franchise is the largest and most lucrative movie franchise ever. Running through four decades, the franchise has accumulated generations of fans and billions of dollars. There are vast legions of fans who throng the theaters to watch their beloved characters from the galaxy far, far away. One of the most famous and eagerly followed of those characters is the Sith Lord, Darth Vader, and he might soon be getting his own story converted into a Virtual Reality experience which would put you directly inside the Vader adventures, and it is going to be created by a famous genre moviemaker. The only thing is that it will take some time to come.

The project under discussion is a collaboration between Lucasfilm, screenwriter David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman trilogy by Chris Nolan, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and so on), and the virtual reality maestros at ILMxLAB. They are coming together to create a Darth Vader movie experience which is nothing like any of the other Star Wars films. Instead of being another standard movie, it will be a virtual reality extravaganza, taking you to the galaxy far, far away. Fans will get headphones and VR goggles which will let them not only see, but, be involved with the first adventure of Darth Vader directly. Not only that, it will all be canon.

According to Goyer,

When we looked at all the characters, places, and worlds in the Star Wars universe available to us, we asked ourselves, ‘What haven’t we seen before? Who are we curious about? Darth Vader is the perfect ambassador to usher us into theStar Wars VR universe.

A respondent who had experienced a glimpse of the Star Wars VR experience, called Trials on Tatooine, said that he felt like as if he was indeed on the surface of the desert planet Tatooine. Others who tested the experience said that they had been able to interact with the environment and even managed to redirect Stormtrooper blasts using a lightsaber. Simply said, it is going to be everything that a moviegoer’s inner child will wish for. Take a walk Pokemon Go.

Lucasfilm and the Industrial Light & Magic are working on creating mind-blowing visuals essential to make us experience the world of Star Wars. Therefore, it is not only going to be a nerd’s wet dream but, top quality as well.

The question that remains to be answered is what will be the timeline for the new Darth Vader film. We wish to see Vader at his worst best. Therefore, it has to be a story set in the vicinity of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. However, we might see some of Vader’s actions from the original trilogy. Giving a whole new perspective to the iconic scenes would excite the long-term Star Wars fans, rewarding them for supporting the franchise through the thick and thin over last 40 years.
