A successful television personality, Julie Banderas spent her growing up years in Hartford, Connecticut. She completed her graduation from Emerson College in 1996. She acquired a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She stayed in Boston after her graduation where her career kick-started.

She joined Fox News Channel as the general assignment reporter in the year 2005. Within a short span of time, she gained recognition. Part of this was because of infamous show-down with Shirley Phelps-Roper on live television. Her clash with the former spokeswoman for the Westboro got not only national but international attention.

Banderas replaced Laurie Dhue in 2008 for the position of the anchor for the Fox Report Weekend. In 2010 she had to take maternity leave and her responsibilities were taken over by Harris Faulkner. When she returned later in the year she was reassigned to the general news correspondent. Banderas has seen success in her career and has also won an Emmy for her work.
