Born on October 10, 1994 in Buk District, Gwagju, South Korea, she is a South Korean singer and actress. she attended School of Performing Arts, Seoul, from where she graduated in 2013. Before her debut, she used to be an online shopping model. She auditioned for Mnet Superstar K in 2009, and went through the initial round, but, was eventually eliminated. In May 2014, Suzy was seen in the movie The Sound of a Flower (2015), as Jin Chae Sun, the first female pansori singer in Korea. The film was about the ordeal of a singer who couldn’t perform in the public due to the gender bias during the Joseon era. For playing the role, Suzy trained in pansori for a year. in the same year, she also teamed up with Taiwanese singer actor Show Lo in a single “Together in Love”, from his album Reality Show.

Earlier in 2018, announcement was made that Suzy would make her comeback in late January, and on January 22, Suzy released her pre-release track called “In Love With Someone Else.” On February 14, Suzy released a music video for her b-side track ‘Sober.’ Suzy is going to play a secret agent in a spy action drama Vagaband soon.
