In 1951, she portrayed the role of Brandy Kirby in the film, Two of a Kind. She played the fourth and last torch-singer role in the film The Racket in 1951. Her last film, Pulp was released in 1972. In 1957, she recorded her album with Henri Rene and titled Lizabeth that had 12 tracks, a mixture of torch songs, and romantic ballads. The following year, she made her public singing debut at The Big Record. She made appearances in several TV series as well.

In 1969, she married William Dugger and in a short while, Dugger suddenly died. But before marrying Dugger, she was a mistress of Hal Wallis.

On 31^st January 2015, she died from congestive heart failure at the age of 92.

She had been honored with the Star on the Walk of Fame in 1960.
