Born as Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado on June 27, 1996 in Miami, Florida, she is an American singer and songwriter. Her parents Michael Jauregui and Clara Morgado are both from Cuba. She has prominently Cuban ancestry and a little Spanish. Jauregui attended a co-ed Catholic School from her Pre-K upto sixth grade. Jauregui left school to work with Fifth Harmony, and later completed her high school diploma through homeschooling.

Jauregui signed with Columbia Records and started working on her upcoming debut solo album in May 2018. Her debut solo single “Expectations” and its music video was released on October 24, 2018 and her second single “More Than That” came out on January 11, 2019.
