Born on April 3, 1989, Zsuzsanna Jakabos, she is a Hungarian swimmer, who has competed for her native country three times in the Summer Olympics: 2004, 2008, and 2012. Her parents were athletes, and while she was expected to follow their lead, she found herself at home in the pool. Her family used to regularly visit water tours and as a child she loved water from an early age, and soon her parents felt it would be better for her to learn swimming. The agreement was that if I do well at school I can attend swimming trainings. I studied well to be allowed to go swimming. This was my motivation.” She became even more passionate after she won 3 gold medals at the 2003 European Youth Olympic Festival (100m butterfly, 200 m medley and relay).

“I believe that hard work always pays off. Determination is the key to achieve something, however, it is not always enough. Sometimes, a bit of luck comes handy, this is what we mean by being at the right place at the right time. In swimming hundredths, tenths and nuances may make a huge difference just like your condition at the time. Nevertheless, knowing that I did my part makes me calm every time.” Zsuzsanna Jakabos said. She changed her HQ from Pecs to Gyor in 2013.
