Born as Queen Quedith Harrison on September 10, 1988 in Loch Sheldrake, New York, United States, she is an American hurdler, and sprinter who participated in the 400 metres hurdles at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Quen is also the meet director for Virginia’s Best Track and Field Classic, a 2017 version VHSL meet hosted in Richmond, Virginia that was started in 2017. Although, she was born in Loch Sheldrake, New York, Harrison attended the Hermitage High School in Richmond Virginia, where she took part in events such as hurdling, long jump, and triple jump. She further attended the Virginia Tech.

Harrison set a school record of 55.81 in the 400 meter hurdles and was placed third at the 2007 NCAA Championship. Harrison created NCAA history in the year 2010 when she became the first woman to win the 100 metres and 400 metres hurdles titles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, also becoming a 3-time national champion while at Virginia Tech. Harrison also created an ACC record in the 400 meter hurdles.

Harrison was placed second at the 400 meter hurdles at the 2008 U.S. Olympic trials and clocked 54.60. She happened to be the first track and field athlete from Virginia Tech to compete in an Olympics event. During the 2008 Summer Olympics, she was eliminated in the semifinals of the 400 meter hurdles after ending with a time of 55.88 seconds. On December 16, 2010, Queen Harrison won The Bowerman, the “Heisman of Track and Field”. She participated in the 2011 World Championships in Athletics, but, failed to

progress beyond the semi-final round.

She failed to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 400 meter event by a narrow margin and since then her IAAF profile shows that she has not participated in the race, and focused only on the shorter race.

She was placed second at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She qualified for the 2013 World Championships in Athletics where she finished fifth in the final.
