Born as Natalia Gastiain Tena on November 1, 1984 in London, she is an English actress and musician. Her parents are Spanish. She can speak fluent English, Spanish and Basque. She studied at the boarding school, Bedales.

Tena’s mother started teaching her piano when she was five-years-old, inspired by Chuck Berry’s music. When she was 18, she returned to London, and busked on the London Underground. While she was working with a theatre group called KneeHigh, Tena decided to learn the accordion.

She made her professional acting debut as Ellie in About a Boy (2002), and started acting full-time in 2003. She has played key roles in stage versions of Gone to Earth in 2004, and Nights at the Circus in 2006.
