Born as Chelsea Joy Handler on February 25, 1975 in Livingston, New Jersey, she is an American comedian, actress, writer, TV host, producer, and activist. She was the youngest of the six children of Rita, a homemaker, and Seymour Handler, a used car dealer. Her American father is Ashkenazi Jewish and her Germany born mother was a Mormon who came to the United States in 1958.
