Charlotte Dawson (8 April 1966-22 February 2014) was a New Zealand – Australian TV personality. She was raised in Auckland, New Zealand after she was adopted at birth. She left high school when she was 16 to model in Europe and with Ford Models in New York City. After a decade, she returned to Australia and became a famous face on the Australian fashion scene.

In the year 1997, she became beauty and fashion director for Women’s Day and soon she became style editor for New Idea magazine. In the year 2000, she became the face of the Peter Morrissey fashion label, presenting her own fashion segment every week on Good Morning Australia for Network Ten. She was also featured in the fashion segment of Sydney’s Olympic Games opening ceremony. She also worked as the fashion correspondent for Channel Ten’s entertainment show E! News and a regular panellist on the network’s hit daytime show Beauty and the Beast.

While she was working for Australian agencies Cameron’s and Priscilla’s as agent, she decided to try out at TV. She started as a researcher at Nine Network and worked on programs like Money and Looking Good. Soon she became the fashion editor for the network’s Today program, filling weekly reports on local and international fashion news and events. Dawson was featured in the fashion spreads in magazines like Vogue, Elle, She, Dolly, Cleo and Mode. Dawson went back to Auckland in 2002 where she presented on TVNZ’s chat show How’s Life?, and Prime’s Getaway and Charlotte’s Lists.

Dawson had a brief marriage to Olympic swimmer Scott Miller from 1999 to 2000. Charlotte regretted having an abortion.
