Born on August 26, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, Ola Ray is an American model and actress best known for playing the role of Michael Jackson’s girlfriend in the short film Thriller. In the year 1975, Ola moved with her family to Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather was stationed at Yokota Air Force Base for three years. Soon after she landed in Tokyo, she started her professional dancing and singing career by forming a group named The Puppets with her twin brothers and sister. Ola had an exclusive contract with Johnson and Johnson to promote their Classy Curl hair product. She also worked as a spokesperson for the Classy Curl products. Further, she also appeared on TV and print for products like Milk’soring the Milk Advisory Board, Coca Cola, Coors, McDonalds and Leggs pantyhose and also various other products.

Although, Thriller was the most famous work done by Ola, she had to face difficulties collecting royalties from her appearance in Thriller. She eventually sued Jackson in May 2009 in a dispute to get her uncollected royalties. Jackson died two months later and The Michael Jackson Family Trust settled the lawsuit.

She has written and produced a number of songs, one of which reached number five on the top ten chart in Houston, Texas. She also completed a book memoir, ‘For The Thrill Of It All’ for which she has recently signed a contract with a major literary agency.
